The excitement surrounding the KUBI collection was palpable at the HBF Hub activation at DesignScene in THE MART, where attendees were treated to a one-on-one talk between Barbara Barry and Cindy Allen. Mary Jo Miller's Memorable Collection: Celebrating a Design Virtuoso
Mary Jo Miller's Memorable collection was another triumph at NeoCon and Design Days 2024, receiving the prestigious MetropolisLikes product honor. This collection, a testament to Miller's wide-ranging inspirations, reflects her relentless quest for storytelling through textiles and sustainability.
Miller, the Vice President of Design and Creative Direction for HBF Textiles, was also celebrated with the Fabric Lifetime of HiPness Award, honoring 30+ years of leadership and advocacy for female empowerment. This accolade is a fitting tribute to her remarkable career and her lasting impact on the design industry.
Capping off the event were the Memorable wall activation at Fulton Market Design Days and the Becoming Biodegradable exhibit at the Metropolis Sustainability Lab. The latter showcased three designs made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester containing a catalyst that make them 91%-93% biodegradable. The Crumpled Paper biodegradable totes were a hit, blending sustainability with chic design and adding a playful yet profound touch to the event.
